Hi Everyone!
Wow half the year gone.....I have been planting flowers and working in my tiny garden, which I love! Yea! Not enough sun yet, but I do believe its coming! Never too much sun for me, I thrive on it!
I finished my vocals for my Torch album in Sherwood Park at DanLyn Studios. What a wonderful experience working with such amazing jazz musicians. Michael Lent, Sandro Dominelli, Chris Andrew, and I had a few special guests; Gord Matthews, Audrey Ochoa on trombone and Doug Berner on trumpet. Sandro Dominelli and I are producing it. Sandro is so amazingly talented, fun and easy to work with, and a lot of great ideas!
We will mix it in June sometime and we will release it in the fall. Special thanks to my vocal coach Laurier Fagnan who helped me get my chops back, and the hospitality of Dan and Connie at DanLyn Studios in Sherwood Park. I loved it! Three trips to Edmonton, but I got to visit with my daughter each time so it was worth it.
Thank you to everyone who has bought and is purchasing my latest album On a Song & a Prayer hope you are enjoying it! Summer gigs coming up, will keep you posted!
