Happy Spring!
I had a wonderful cd release at my home place at Carlson's in High River, AB. March 20th. What a wonderful evening. Sold out, candles, flowers, wine what more can a girl ask for? Thank you so much to Don & Brenda Carlson for their hospitality, roses and always believing in me! Thank you to Bob & Judy Griffiths, thank you for the flowers and being such wonderful fans.
Thank you to my buddy Don Doughtwright, (Dudley Duderight to me!) what an MC. I think you should be in politics, everyone would vote for you. Thanks to Colin McConnell from Andrew Simon Salon in High River who makes me look like a million bucks! Carol Reid for selling merch, and thank you to everyone who came out. Last but not least, thank you to Andrew Glover, what an amazing pianist and human being.
On a sad note our black lab Joe died on March 18th. How sad but we still have Sally our border collie and Joe is gone to doggie Heaven.
Have a Happy Easter every one and as usual thank you to Rob Gilgan my cyber gopher who makes my web site look beautiful and I call up at any hour of the night to ask him computer questions...oh by the way I bought an iMac!!!! Wow! Look at me go now!

Racines & Rythmes

Hi y’all!
I’ve been to Louisiana in February for Mardi Gras filming a Canadian Documentary with my great friends “Connections Productions” from Moncton, NB & Québec called “Racines & Rythmes” la musique country en Louisiane. Bruce Daigrepont, Benoit LeBlanc and yours truly. Watch for it this fall. Merci beaucoup, toute la belle gang!
I got to enjoy mardi gras, dance, eat, drink, visit, shop all the wonderful things Lafayette is known for, the most wonderful place in the world. Not one bad place to eat in Lafayette! I got to spend an extra week visiting my dear friends and family so I was gone 2 wks. Thank you y’all! You know who you are! I am always treated like a queen there. Cajun Queen…..ha-ha!!!
I met some wonderful people for the first time, imagine all the years I have been in LA. and we never met. Rocky & Lisa Sonnier at the Bayou Cabins in Breaux Bridge, LA. one of my favorite towns and to which I was honored an honorary citizen and I have a key to the city. You must go stay there, the best boudin, it’s a beautiful place filled with history and antiques and it’s right on the Bayou Teche. We got to sleep in the “Bayou Palace” I guess that’s the place for the Cajun Queen! While we were there it snowed! Imagine snow in LA. They said it snowed twice that winter because The Saints won the super bowl and because I came back, as I always bring snow! Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr, Bruce Daigrepont, have stayed there and now Crystal Plamondon!

By the way we won the Canada/US Olympic game!!!!!! Way to go Canada, what beautiful Olympics we had, how proud I am to be Canadian! The most Olympic gold ever won in the winter Olympics.
I had my first CD release for TORCH Friday March 5th at Festival Place in Sherwood Park, AB. Great crowd. Thank you to Chris Andrew and Gavin Farmer. Thanks to my daughter Christie and my Mom & Dad for coming, and Inger Lorsignal who works behind the scenes. Thanks to all the fans and family who came and bought tickets and merchandise, thank you so much for the support.
By the way if you ever need any CDs made don’t EVER go to CDman in Burnaby, BC and Toronto. Terrible company, they screwed up my CD & package and never ever came clean about it or did any thing to make it right. Stay away! CDman.com yuk!

My new CD is available on line on my web site and also at Megatunes in Edmonton, AB. Andrew Simon Salon in High River, AB. and Mel’s Music in High River, AB. To any one I might have forgotten sorry and I love you.
